What You'll Be Doing
- Solve Real-World Problems: Use large datasets to uncover trends, build predictive models, and optimise key business operations.
- Partner Across the Business: Translate challenges into data science solutions across functions like sales, finance, supply chain, and engineering.
- Own the Full Model Lifecycle: From experimentation and training to deployment, monitoring, and optimisation.
- Champion ML Best Practices: Build scalable, reusable design patterns and frameworks that are production-ready and robust.
- Mentor & Lead: Guide junior data scientists and engineers through coaching, best practices, and technical leadership.
- Innovate Continuously: Drive new ways of working, refine tools and pipelines, and evaluate emerging tech like GenAI and LLMs.
- Enable ML Ops at Scale: Help evolve infrastructure for model monitoring, performance tracking, and automation.
What We're Looking For
Technical & Domain Expertise:
- Proven experience delivering production-grade ML models in a commercial setting.
- Strong Python and ML framework knowledge (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, Spark MLlib, Pandas, Numpi).
- Skilled in SQL and ideally Spark or distributed processing frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with model lifecycle tools and MLOps orchestration.
- Solid understanding of data privacy, model governance, and ethical AI.
- Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and effective data storytelling.
Desirable Experience:
- Cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Serving models via APIs at scale.
- Working with LLMs and GenAI frameworks (OpenAI, Hugging Face, etc.).
- Designing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
