About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Systems Design Engineer to support electrical and mechanical design activities within complex technology integration projects. This role involves producing high-quality 2D/3D drawings, developing design concepts, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Create detailed electrical/mechanical drawings (2D & 3D) to ISO standards.
Develop STEP files, Visio diagrams, and support documentation.
Ensure compliance with BS7671 (18th Edition), BS8888, EMC, LVD, and safety regulations.
Interpret rough concepts into refined, production-ready designs.
Collaborate across engineering, project, and supply teams.
Contribute to CAD tool selection and standardisation.
Skills & Experience
HNC/HND or apprenticeship in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
5+ years in systems or electrical design.
Proficient with AutoCAD or similar; electrical CAD experience (e.g., SEE Electrical/ETAP) is a plus.
Knowledge of control panels, 19" racks, and manufacturing techniques.
Able to work independently, manage priorities, and solve problems.
Must be eligible for SC Security Clearance.
