On behalf of our client a global communications and IT company we are looking for a Permanent Technical Product Manager to support our clients ongoing and upcoming in-house projects.

Main Purpose of Job

The individual needs to understand the company's technology and translate that into a technical product offering which is benefits lead and can be articulated easily to internal and external parties. Product evaluations and working in liaison with Systems Engineering teams to provide technical product expertise in launching new products and services internally and throughout the company. Ability to produce or translate technical content into customer/ benefits led output including for bids, white papers, brochures, application notes, user guides, technical service updates and input for press releases etc. (working with Communication Manager who has responsibility for external messaging) Provide tech product support in customer meetings, demos and events. Requirements capture for internal and external software development projects. Project Management of in house projects. To conduct internal training course for both sales, support and other relevant back-office functions. Technical Service Bulletin distribution in corporation with local management and sales directors in case of translation needs or other local requirements. Product evaluation analysis and comparison.

Experience/Skills/Qualifications

Mandatory

  • Technical Product Management experience is preferred
  • Good knowledge of IP networking
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • A professional and flexible approach
  • Requirements capture and application
  • Project Management experience
  • Flexible, customer focused and self-motivated and team player
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, and on your own projects
  • Able to work as part of a team or with little supervision
  • Willingness and ability to learn quickly
  • Intermediate level or above with Word/Powerpoint/Excel
  • Flexible, customer focused and self-motivated and team player
  • Must be very organised, methodical and a good multi-tasker.

Desirable

  • Mobile, Satalite communications, IT or technology experience.
  • Familiarity with modern communications & IT systems
  • Exposure to operating systems (Linux, Windows)
