As a business located in the heart of Cornwall, we’re always looking for new ways to support our local community. That is why when we heard Pirate FM were launching their new campaign – “Tonne of Tins” – we just had to get involved.
The premise is simple: people donate tins of food them to support local foodbanks in the area. A fantastic cause! So this Thursday we went out as a team to show our support by buying 172kg of tinned food for the appeal. We’re really proud to say that every person in the team chipped in to make this happen and we’re really excited to see the impact of this amazing campaign.
Over the last few years there has been a rising number of struggling families in the area who are relying more and more on foodbanks. As a result, the pressure on these foodbanks has been increasing year on year. The “Tonne of Tins” campaign has been launched to ease this pressure and ensure no families are going hungry.
