Pay: £300 per day (CIS Basis)
Reporting To: Site Supervisor
Project Duration: Minimum 1 year
Travel: No travel between sites


Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Civils Site Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations on a major infrastructure project in Didcot. The ideal candidate will ensure safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of civils works, coordinating daily site activities and supporting the Site Manager while maintaining high levels of quality and safety.

This position is fully site-based and involves both supervision and practical work alongside a small operational team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coordinate, and support daily on-site civils activities

  • Oversee trenching, formwork, excavation works (2m and below), and large-bore installations

  • Ensure compliance with site requirements and relevant industry standards

  • Manage temporary works and ensure correct procedures are followed

  • Carry out hands-on tasks as required to support team progress

  • Read and interpret drawings, including drainage layouts and temporary works specifications

  • Maintain strong health & safety standards across the work area

  • Manage a team of three operatives within a high-risk working environment

  • Provide regular updates, progress reports, and issue escalation to the Site Manager


Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • SSSTS qualification

  • Relevant site access or safety passport/ticket

  • Thames water ticket
  • Experience in:

    • Trenching

    • Formwork

    • Large-bore pipework

    • Temporary works

    • General civils operations

    • Excavations (2m and below)

  • Proven on-site supervision experience

  • Strong understanding of drainage systems and temporary works


Desirable Skills

  • Machine ticket (e.g., excavator, dumper, or similar)

  • Experience working on or supervising high-risk work environments

  • Ability to lead and coordinate a team of three operatives

  • Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
