Job Title:
Microsoft Exchange & Teams Voice Engineer - SC / NATO Secret Cleared
6-Month Rolling Contract | Remote | Occasional Travel | Outside IR35
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Exchange and Teams Voice Engineer for a 6-month rolling contract. This remote role requires active SC or NATO Secret clearance and occasional travel sites in Europe.
You'll be responsible for upgrading, managing, and securing Exchange Online and Microsoft Teams Voice environments. The role includes hands-on support, scripting, compliance, and integration with systems such as Call Manager, VoIP/PSTN, and meeting room devices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and manage Exchange Online policies, mail flow, and provisioning
- Administer Microsoft Teams Voice, including call routing, PSTN/VoIP services, and performance tuning
- Integrate Teams with Call Manager and manage meeting room devices
- Implement security controls and ATP policies for email and voice
- Ensure compliance through retention, eDiscovery, auditing, and DLP policies
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and admin efficiency
- Monitor systems using Exchange Admin Center, Teams Admin Center, and third-party tools
- Provide expert-level support and resolve escalated L2/L3 incidents
- Participate in on-call support (max 1 week per 4 months) and occasional travel (up to 1 week/month)
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience with Exchange Online and Microsoft Teams Voice
- Experience with Call Manager integration, VoIP, and PSTN services
- Solid knowledge of PowerShell scripting for automation
- Understanding of email/voice security, compliance, and regulatory requirements
- Experience managing meeting room devices and Teams hardware integration
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and user support experience
- Prior experience in secure or regulated environments
- Active SC or NATO Secret clearance
Nice to Have:
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-203, SC-200, AZ-500)
- Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and high availability
- Experience working across international teams and locations
