Development Engineer - Climate Tech | £40-45k + Bonus | Cambridgeshire
We're working with a fast-growing UK-based technology company operating at the forefront of clean energy and advanced materials. As they scale up deployment of their next-generation systems, they're looking for a Development Engineer with a mechanical or process background to support system development, testing, and optimisation.
The Role:
Operate and experiment on in-house development systems.
Support prototyping, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of process systems.
Work closely with Engineering, Procurement, and Manufacturing to refine system components and contribute to key safety and design reviews.
Lead hands-on system operations, maintenance, and optimisation efforts.
Contribute to data-driven development through structured testing and reporting.
About You:
Strong hands-on engineering experience with gas/process systems or mechanical equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, valves, PLC/HMI systems).
Passion for innovation, sustainability, and practical problem-solving.
Comfortable in a fast-paced, experimental environment with evolving technology.
Background in mechanical, process, or chemical engineering - degree preferred but not essential with strong experience.
