Are you passionate about procurement and want to be involved from product idea to launch-and beyond? We're looking for a talented professional to join our Global Procurement team and play a key role in driving innovation, cost efficiency, and supplier collaboration.
About the Role
As a Forward Sourcing Specialist, you will act as a strategic partner to product development, ensuring procurement delivers maximum value across the entire product lifecycle-from early concept through to end-of-life.
You'll work in a cross-functional, international environment, collaborating closely with R&D, operations, and suppliers worldwide.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead forward sourcing activities from early development through series production and end-of-life
- Manage RFQs, supplier negotiations, and sourcing decisions
- Drive cost estimation, control, and optimization in innovation projects
- Collaborate with category management to align with global sourcing strategies
- Engage suppliers early to leverage innovation and technical expertise
- Support make-or-buy decisions, standardization, and platform strategies
- Coordinate procurement timelines and ensure smooth project execution
- Maintain material and supplier data in ERP systems (e.g. SAP)
- Ensure compliance by collecting necessary material certifications
- Support product ramp-up and end-of-life phases
- Track and report KPIs and sourcing progress
- Participate in supplier selection, evaluation, and development
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Initial experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or product development
- Understanding of strategic purchasing and project sourcing
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
- Technical understanding (ideally in mechanical processing)
- Experience with SAP and MS Office
- Strong communication skills and confidence in international environments
- Fluent in English
- Willingness to travel and collaborate across cultures
