Job Title: Oracle Database Administrator (DBA)
Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 (depending on experience)
Security Clearance: Minimum UK Security Clearance (SC) or eligibility required. Sole British nationals only due to the customer contract being a 'British Eyese Only' contract.
Location: South West England (commutable to the Bristol area)

Core Responsibilities and Skills:
We are seeking a skilled Oracle DBA to join a specialist technology consultancy supporting high-security government and defence sector projects. This role involves the administration, configuration, monitoring, and support of Oracle database systems across both Windows and Linux environments.
Ideal candidates will have experience with some of the following Oracle technologies:
Oracle WebCenter Content and Portal
Oracle Identity and Access Management
Oracle Business Intelligence Discoverer
Oracle Primavera (P3M)
Oracle Business Process Management (BPM)
Oracle Forms and Reports
Oracle Enterprise Manager / Cloud Control
Oracle Key Vault
Desirable Experience:
Development experience in Oracle WebCenter Portal and ADF
Exposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Experience with ERP or enterprise asset management platforms
Strong skills in Linux administration
Scripting with Linux/Windows, SQLPlus, and PL/SQL
Collaboration with software development and technical support teams
About the Role:
This opportunity is within a small-to-medium enterprise (SME) providing specialist IT services to a major government contractor. You will be joining an agile and high-performing team working on complex, mission-critical systems in a secure environment. The role will involve a mix of project delivery and operational support across a variety of Oracle products and services.
The position offers some flexibility for remote working; however, regular on-site attendance at secure locations in the South West (e.g., near Bristol) is required.
Security Requirements:
Applicants must be sole British nationals and either already hold UK Security Clearance (SC level) or be eligible and willing to undergo the necessary vetting process. For the right candidate, sponsorship through to higher clearance levels (e.g., DV) may be supported.
