Position Title: Oracle HCM Cloud Architect (Contract)
Location: Hybrid - 3 days onsite in Manchester per week
Contract Length: 12 Months

Overview:
We're working with a major organisation undergoing a significant enterprise-wide transformation involving Oracle Cloud Fusion, and we're looking for a seasoned Oracle HCM Cloud Architect to join the programme on a long-term contract basis.
This role will focus on the strategic design, integration, and optimisation of the Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) suite within a complex, multi-system environment. You'll play a key role in aligning business objectives with scalable, compliant, and efficient HCM solutions.
What You'll Do:
Architecture & Solution Design
Own and shape the overall Oracle Cloud HCM architecture, covering modules such as Core HR, Payroll, Absence, Talent, and Benefits
Define integration patterns, architecture principles, and data flows across the Oracle ecosystem and other enterprise systems
Develop high-level design documentation and ensure alignment with programme architecture standards
Stakeholder Collaboration
Engage directly with functional leads, SMEs, project teams, and other architects to understand requirements and translate them into practical HCM solutions
Lead design sessions, provide subject matter expertise on Oracle HCM capabilities and constraints
Work with HR, Payroll, and Finance teams to align technical solutions with operational needs and regulatory obligations
Integration & Compliance Oversight
Define and oversee integration points between HCM and systems such as payroll providers, finance platforms, and identity management tools
Ensure alignment with UK statutory and regulatory frameworks - including HMRC RTI, pensions, tax, and employment law
Support the planning and execution of data migration strategies, ensuring integrity and accuracy throughout
Governance & Delivery Assurance
Ensure solution designs adhere to broader security, compliance, and programme governance
Support testing and delivery phases, offering guidance on technical feasibility and best practice
Identify risks and manage architectural dependencies within a dynamic programme landscape
Your Background:
Core Experience Required
Proven experience as an Architect or Senior Consultant in Oracle HCM Cloud implementations
Strong technical and functional grasp of HCM modules: Core HR, Absence, Payroll, Benefits, Talent
In-depth knowledge of UK-specific compliance (e.g., Tax, RTI, Pensions, HMRC) within Oracle Cloud environments
Demonstrated experience integrating Oracle HCM with third-party systems across enterprise estates
Excellent communicator, confident engaging across technical and non-technical stakeholders
Bonus Points For:
Experience delivering Oracle HCM within large, federated or matrixed environments (e.g., public sector, education, or healthcare)
Exposure to adjacent Oracle Fusion ERP modules (e.g., Finance, Procurement)
Familiarity with data security, cloud compliance, and GDPR considerations in HCM platforms
