Are you an experienced sales professional with a passion for innovative communication technologies in the Government and Defence sectors? We're recruiting for a dynamic Sales Manager to join a market-leading organisation at the forefront of secure maritime and satellite communication solutions.
About the Role:
As Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for driving business development across the UK Government and Defence sectors. You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to position a holistic suite of hardware, airtime, and smart service plans - tailored to the evolving needs of your clients.
This role is ideal for someone who understands the complexities of government procurement, defence communications requirements, and maritime NAVCOM technologies, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead sales initiatives across new and existing UK Gov/Def accounts.
Work in tandem with the Business Development team to identify and win future programmes.
Collaborate with service departments to enhance delivery to key maritime clients.
Prepare bids, quotations, account plans, forecasts, and budgets.
Provide exceptional customer service and maintain long-term relationships.
Attend industry exhibitions, seminars, and events to build brand presence and generate leads.
Stay commercially aware and informed about market trends and client needs.
Requirements:
Proven track record in B2B sales within Government and/or Defence environments.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar sales or account management role.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles and engage with both engineering and executive stakeholders.
In-depth knowledge of maritime communications technologies (NAVCOM solutions, airtime, hardware, etc.).
Eligible to obtain and retain SC security clearance.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
High proficiency with MS 365 tools and CRM systems.
Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required.
