SAP S/4HANA P2P Senior Consultant
On Behalf of a Fantastic client, we're looking for an experienced SAP Procurement and P2P Specialist to lead end-to-end solution design and delivery across global S/4HANA programmes. This is a senior consulting role for someone who combines deep SAP functional expertise with a strong understanding of procurement transformation.
The Role
You'll take ownership of the full Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process, guiding clients through every stage - from discovery and design to implementation and adoption. Working with procurement, finance, and supply chain leaders, you'll define future-ready sourcing and procurement models that leverage the latest SAP innovations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead solution design and delivery of SAP S/4HANA Procurement and P2P processes, including MM, SRM replacement, Fiori apps, and integration with Ariba or other sourcing tools
- Own the full P2P lifecycle - from sourcing and requisitions through to invoice receipt and vendor management
- Conduct client workshops (Discover, Explore/Fit-to-Standard) with procurement heads, buyers, and supply chain stakeholders
- Define integration across MM, FI (AP), Inventory Management, WM/EWM, and vendor collaboration platforms
- Support pre-sales: solutioning, RFP/RFI responses, effort estimation, and client demos
- Lead cross-functional delivery teams (onshore/offshore), ensuring readiness for testing, cutover, and go-live
- Promote adoption of S/4HANA innovations such as Fiori purchasing apps, Central Procurement Hub, and embedded analytics/KPIs
- Reuse and enhance accelerators, templates, and best practices to drive delivery excellence
What We're Looking For
- Extensive SAP experience with deep functional knowledge of MM, Inventory Management, and P2P
- At least two full-cycle S/4HANA implementations, including ownership of Procurement/P2P design in a global template or greenfield rollout
- Hands-on experience in direct and indirect procurement, vendor master data, release strategies, and invoice processing
- Experience integrating SAP with Ariba, Coupa, or SRM replacements highly desirable
- Proven ability to lead client engagements through discovery, design, and deployment in a consulting or SI environment
Technical & Functional Expertise
- Strong configuration skills across SAP MM, Purchase Requisition, PO, Service Entry Sheets, GR/IR, and Invoice Verification
- Deep understanding of integration with FI (Accounts Payable), Inventory, and Logistics
- Experience with Fiori Procurement apps, Central Procurement, and Self-Service Procurement
- Awareness of E-invoicing, tax compliance, and vendor onboarding workflows
- Understanding of current procurement trends including sustainable sourcing and contract lifecycle management
Soft Skills & Leadership
- Confident engaging with CPOs, Procurement Directors, and Finance leaders to shape transformation agendas
- Skilled at simplifying complex procurement challenges into scalable SAP solutions
- Experienced in leading and mentoring project teams and ensuring stakeholder alignment
- Strong communication, process mapping, and presentation skills
Methodologies & Tools
- Expertise with SAP Activate and Agile delivery models
- Familiarity with Signavio, Solution Manager, JIRA/Confluence, and DevOps pipelines for S/4HANA
- Strong documentation and governance practices
Qualifications & Certifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or IT
- SAP Certification in S/4HANA Sourcing and Procurement or equivalent
- Additional credentials in CIPS, Lean Procurement, or Supply Chain Design are a plus
