Electrical Design Engineer - Building Services (M&E)

The Opportunity
Our client is a long-established and well-respected M&E consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering sustainable, low-carbon building solutions across multiple sectors.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their expanding team. The role offers the chance to work on a diverse range of projects and contribute to high-quality design delivery within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and specification of electrical systems: lighting, power, fire alarms, BMS, etc.
Use of design software such as Revit, Dialux, Hevacomp, and Amtech
Delivering projects across RIBA stages 1-4
Liaising with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors
Supporting junior team members and contributing to technical standards
Ideal Candidate
Proven experience in electrical building services design within a consultancy
Strong technical understanding of building systems and relevant regulations
Proficient in industry-standard software and BIM workflows
Working towards or already achieved IEng/CEng (CIBSE preferred)
Passionate about low-carbon design and collaborative working
