Salary - £58,000 - £63,000 + Car Allowance

Our client provides mature agile development services across a range of key software products for both internal stakeholders and multiple customers. As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software solutions through hands-on testing within the software development lifecycle. Your expertise in testing methods and strategies will guide and mentor colleagues, collaborating closely with developers and testers to implement effective testing practices. Ultimately, your work will be integral to enhancing the customer experience.
Essential:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in performance testing including peak load, soak, stress testing, etc.
- Proficiency with Playwright, TestCafe, or Cypress.io with TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of agile methods and Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
- Experience testing REST APIs and message-based systems (e.g., Postman/Swagger).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools, DevOps practices, and GIT.
- Knowledge of shift-left and shift-right testing strategies.
- Experience with unit, integration, and integrated tests.
- Ability to define and implement best testing practices.
- Familiarity with non-functional testing techniques and approaches.
Desirable:
- Experience with test doubles (e.g., Wiremock, moq, React testing library).
- Familiarity with Angular and React testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of contract testing principles.
