Contract Site Manager - Solar Project (Devon)
Start Date: 18th August 2025
Duration: 8 weeks
Day Rate: £300-£350 DOE
We're looking for an experienced Site Manager to take charge of a short-term solar farm project in Devon. The ideal candidate will be electrically biased, confident managing on-site works, and capable of working independently to ensure the project runs safely and to plan.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operations on site
Supervise subcontractors and coordinate site activities
Manage and receive work permits
Identify and replace defective modules, ensuring safe reinstallation
Maintain and control the DC electrical system
Ensure compliance with H&S and quality standards
Requirements:
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) - essential
Strong background in electrical systems, ideally solar PV and DC infrastructure
Ability to manage site independently and maintain high standards
Trustworthy, organised, and practical under pressure
Preferably local although can take someone on from further afield if near to the budget as an all in rate
Rate:
£300-£350 per day (depending on experience)
