Job Description
My client is seeking an experienced SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) Consultant to join a rapidly growing SAP practice supporting large-scale HR and payroll transformation programmes across multiple industries. This role is ideal for a consultant who enjoys working across the full project lifecycle-from pre-sales and solutioning through to delivery and optimisation. The successful candidate will apply deep payroll expertise to help organisations modernise and streamline their payroll operations.

About the Role
My client is looking for a seasoned SAP SuccessFactors ECP Functional Consultant with strong experience in payroll transformations and migrations from ECC6 Payroll. The role involves end-to-end configuration of SAP ECP, a deep understanding of payroll schemas and processes, and the ability to work closely with HR, IT, and business stakeholders. You will contribute to the design, build, deployment, testing, and ongoing optimisation of payroll solutions in complex, multi-country environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead configuration and design of SAP SuccessFactors ECP, including payroll schemas, rules, wage types, and off-cycle payroll
Collaborate with HR and IT leaders to shape payroll transformation strategies and digital roadmaps
Provide expert advisory on ECP best practices, solution architecture, and integration design
Support migrations from SAP ECC payroll to ECP, including mapping of payroll rules and data
Ensure accurate master data and time data replication from EC → ECP
Execute payroll parallel runs and support reconciliation of payroll results
Work with Integration teams on key interfaces (GL posting, bank files, WPS, GOSI, payslips, etc.)
Lead testing cycles (SIT, UAT, regression) and prepare the business for payroll go-live
Establish governance frameworks covering releases, compliance, and payroll security
Ensure GDPR, data privacy, audit controls, and regulatory compliance standards are upheld
Assist with pre-sales activities including proposals, effort estimates, and solution demos
Essential Requirements
Advanced expertise in SAP HCM Payroll with strong hands-on configuration experience in SAP ECP
Deep understanding of payroll schemas, PCRs, wage types, rules, and end-to-end payroll processing
Experience in EC-ECP integration and payroll migration projects (preferably ECC → ECP)
Strong knowledge of payroll legislation (KSA or broader global exposure beneficial)
Experience with SAP CPI or other middleware solutions for payroll interfaces
Ability to lead workshops, gather requirements, and work with senior stakeholders
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and payroll testing skills
Certifications & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in HR Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll certification preferred
