The Role
You will lead the organisation's approach to achieving Net Zero through strategic domestic energy assessments and decarbonisation work.
- To provide strategic sustainability expertise within our client
- To lead on the development and delivery of our approach to achieving Net Zero through a Sustainability and Net Zero Carbon Strategy.
- To lead our domestic energy assessment, EPC compliance, and asset-based decarbonisation work across our housing portfolio.
- To develop a detailed understanding of the energy performance and retrofit prospects for our homes, building up the level and quality of information and data so we can develop a better understanding of the type of works needed across our portfolio.
- Funding: Identify and secure critical funding opportunities such as SHDF and ECO4.
*Please note that this is not a commercial sustainability or corporate ESG role. We require an expert who understands domestic EPCs, RdSAP methodology, social housing archetypes and the operational challenges of surveying existing homes.
Requirements
- We are looking for a specialist with a strong social or domestic housing background.
- Legislation: Deep knowledge of EPC, HHSRS, and RdSAP methodology is essential.
- Qualifications: You must be a Qualified Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA). A degree in building studies, surveying, or construction is a major bonus.
- Experience: Ability to translate complex survey data into practical asset-management decisions.
Working Pattern: Hybrid model requiring two days in the office per week, with occasional travel for meetings.
