Our client is actively seeking an experienced IT Systems and Networks Support Engineer for a permanent position based in the Bristol area. This role offers opportunities for remote work and may require occasional travel to project sites. The successful candidate will have an immediate start and can expect a competitive salary starting at £55,000, negotiable based on experience.
Core Skills:
- Proficiency in Windows Server 2019/2016 Administration (MCSA standard).
- Windows Client Support (10/11).
- Hands-on experience with vSphere/VMWare/VDI Virtualisation.
- Azure/M365 Administration/AWS Administration.
- Competency in Microsoft SQL Server Administration.
- Proficient Linux Administration skills.
- Competent Cisco/HP Network Administration.
- Familiarity with Fortinet/Cisco NG Firewall Administration.
- Experience in Storage Area Network Administration.
- Strong documentation and process creation skills.
Value Added Skills:
- Capability in Azure/M365 Architecture/Design.
- Expertise in AWS Architecture/Design.
- CISSP Certified/Training.
- Knowledge of Cyber Security best practices.
- CCNA/CCNP Certified.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices.
- Experience in DevOps.
- Proficiency in PowerShell.
- Skills in Web Administration/Development.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Candidates should possess solid knowledge and practical experience in as many of the core skills listed above as possible.
- Preference will be given to candidates with additional value-added skills.
- All applicants must have current UK Security Clearance (SC) and be sole British Nationals.
- Candidates without current SC clearance may be considered if exceptionally qualified and willing to undergo the security vetting process.
