About the Role

As a Technical Support Engineer, you'll be a critical part of a global 24/7 support operation. You'll serve as a key escalation point on shift, provide 2nd line support, and play a hands-on role in fault investigation and resolution across diverse technical platforms. You'll be monitoring core infrastructure, mentoring colleagues, and constantly seeking ways to improve processes and customer outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver 2nd line support across a range of services: satellite networks (Ka/Ku/L Band), LTE, firewalls, customer infrastructure, and virtual environments

  • Investigate and resolve technical issues across IP networks, routing, RF, and remote systems

  • Monitor network alerts and proactively address high-usage and service-impacting events

  • Collaborate closely with resolver teams, internal departments, and 3rd party partners

  • Provide mentoring and guidance to 1st line engineers

  • Document procedures and contribute to knowledge sharing

  • Recommend system/process improvements to optimise service delivery


You'll Excel With:

Essential Skills & Experience

  • A strong commercial and technical mindset

  • Demonstrable experience in technical customer support or network operations

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot IP and RF-related faults

  • Proficiency in documenting and resolving technical incidents

  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

Desirable Experience

  • Prior work in satellite communications (e.g. Inmarsat, VSAT, BGAN)

  • Hands-on experience with Intellian, Seatel, T&T systems

  • Knowledge of Iridium, Thuraya, and GX networks

  • Understanding of network fundamentals (CCNA, JNCIA or equivalent)

  • Familiarity with MOD systems or secure communications protocols
