Contract Type: 6-Month Rolling Contract (Outside IR35)
Location: Hybrid - 2 Days per Week Onsite in London
Travel: Occasional On-Demand Travel to EMEA Sites

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity for a Network Implementation Engineer to join a high-growth technology consultancy supporting major data centre and telecom infrastructure projects across EMEA. You will be part of a technically skilled team driving complex network deployments for Tier 1 service providers and enterprise data centre clients.

This project-based role focuses on the full life cycle of network delivery - from planning and design to implementation and validation - across hybrid cloud, enterprise, and 5G environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive full project life cycle: requirement gathering, network design, BOM creation, implementation, and validation.

  • Act as the technical lead and single point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Coordinate with project managers, construction teams, operations, and remote engineers.

  • Create and maintain detailed documentation: rack elevations, logical/physical topologies, cable matrices, and timelines.

  • Oversee physical installation and logical configuration of devices including:

    • Palo Alto Firewalls

    • ZPE Out-of-Band devices

    • Cisco Catalyst/Nexus

    • Juniper EX/QFX/MX Series

  • Provide remote validation of power, cabling, and equipment labeling.

  • Support structured cabling design and ensure redundancy best practices.

  • Drive on-time implementation and SLA adherence across multiple sites.

Essential Skills & Experience:

Juniper Technologies:

  • Deployment and configuration of EX, QFX, and MX series devices.

  • Wireless deployments with Juniper Mist and Mist AI onboarding.

  • Junos OS CLI configuration and automation (Ansible/Python).

General Networking:

  • Experience with Cisco Catalyst/Nexus switches, VLANs, STP, EtherChannel.

  • Strong understanding of Layer 2/3 protocols (BGP, OSPF, VRRP, EVPN/VXLAN).

  • Familiarity with Palo Alto firewall configurations and ZPE NodeGrid OOB devices.

  • Data centre deployment experience (structured cabling, documentation, validation).

Certifications (preferred):

  • JNCIA (required)

  • JNCIS (required)

  • JNCIP (preferred or in progress)

Additional Skills:

  • Strong documentation abilities (Visio, Excel, Confluence).

  • Change management and ITIL familiarity.

  • Experience working with distributed, multi-regional teams.

  • Exposure to cloud networking (AWS, Azure) is a bonus.
