Health & Safety Advisor / Officer - Utility Scale Solar Farm
Location: Essex (5 days per week, onsite)
Contract: 3 months+ with strong potential for extension
Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience
We're looking for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor/Officer to join a major utility scale solar farm construction project in Essex.
The role
- Provide day-to-day H&S support and guidance to the site team and subcontractors
- Carry out site inspections, audits and toolbox talks
- Review RAMS, permits to work and method statements
- Investigate incidents and near misses, and drive corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with CDM 2015 and all relevant legislation
- Maintain accurate H&S records and reporting
Essential requirements
- Proven experience on utility scale solar projects (essential)
- NEBOSH General Certificate or Construction Certificate (or equivalent)
- CSCS card
- Current SMSTS / CITB qualifications
- Experience on large civils or electrical construction sites
- Full UK driving licence and own transport to site
Desirable
- Tech IOSH or NEBOSH Diploma
- First Aid at Work
- Experience with HV or electrical safety
