Mechanical Operative
Location: South Yorkshire
Contract: 3-6 months
IR35: Inside IR35
We are currently looking for experienced Mechanical Operatives to support wastewater treatment and filtration projects across South Yorkshire.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning and maintaining wastewater filtration systems.
- Carrying out mechanical repairs and remedial works as required.
- Using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Assisting with installation, maintenance and servicing of pumps, motors and associated equipment.
- Identifying mechanical faults and supporting fault-finding activities.
- Working safely on active industrial and wastewater sites.
- Completing basic site documentation and maintenance records.
Requirements
- Previous hands-on mechanical experience, ideally within wastewater, water treatment, industrial or process environments.
- Good mechanical understanding and confidence using tools.
- Experience working with pumps, motors, filtration systems or similar equipment.
- EUSR Water Hygiene.
- Confined Space training.
- Working at Heights training.
- First Aid certification.
- CSCS or relevant site certification would be advantageous.
