Mechanical Pipefitter
Location: Lincolnshire
Contract: 3 months initially
IR35 Status: Outside IR35
Key Responsibilities
Installation and assembly of small-bore PVC pipework, typically 15-50mm diameter.
Reading and working from mechanical drawings, pipework layouts and isometric drawings.
Measuring, cutting and preparing PVC pipework for installation.
Installing bends, tees, valves, couplings and associated fittings.
Solvent welding/jointing PVC pipework where required.
Installing pipework supports, brackets and fixings.
Surface mounting pipework to walls, frames and plant structures.
Carrying out modifications and alterations to existing pipework systems.
Supporting pressure/leak testing and rectification of installation issues.
Working alongside mechanical, electrical and commissioning teams.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Mechanical Pipefitter, Pipe Installer or similar mechanical role.
Proven experience working with PVC/plastic pipework, ideally small-bore systems.
Valid EUSR card
Valid CSCS card
Industrial, water, wastewater or process-plant experience would be advantageous.
The role would suit a hands-on Mechanical Pipefitter with previous industrial experience, who is comfortable working with small-bore PVC pipework and holds the required EUSR and CSCS cards.
