Contract Energy Modeller (Remote)

We are looking for an experienced Energy Modeller to support the development and delivery of complex distributed energy and infrastructure projects.

The Role

You'll be involved on the development of sophisticated energy models covering microgrids, EV fast charging, behind-the-meter solar and battery storage, data centres, and other built-environment energy systems. This is not a simple solar yield modelling role - you'll be modelling multiple loads, off-takers, storage assets, generation technologies, and flexible demand scenarios over 30-year forecasting horizons.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing complex Excel-based energy models
  • Modelling microgrids, storage, EV charging and integrated energy infrastructure
  • Producing 30-year energy forecasts and scenario analysis
  • Building IRR, NPV and cash flow models
  • Supporting product development with commercial and technical insight
  • Working across a variety of fast-moving projects in a high-growth environment

About You

  • Master's degree (or equivalent experience) in Energy Engineering, Energy Systems, Modelling or a related field
  • Strong experience delivering complex energy and storage models independently
  • Advanced Excel modelling skills
  • Experience with energy simulation tools (coding not required)
  • Able to apply a commercial lens to technical modelling
  • Comfortable working hands-on across multiple project types and priorities

Location

  • Remote role
  • London or Scotland preferred, but candidates can be based anywhere
  • Head of Product is based in London

Contract

  • Contract position initially
  • Immediate impact role with potential for longer-term opportunities
  • Looking for a highly capable self-starter who can help us deliver products and support business growth from day one
